Group Events

Event packages are available for groups looking for anything from a small group party to a larger team-building event in our studio.

Group Events

Group events run for three hours and we provide all of the necessary tools, materials, and an instructor who will lead your group in the project of your choice. We can arrange a wheel-throwing experience for you, or a handbuilding workshop with the goal of producing a particular item such as a trinket box or a mug.

We will glaze and fire the objects your group makes and notify you when they’re ready to be picked up - approximately 4-6 weeks after the event.

  • There is a $1,000 minimum for all private events. This price includes up to 8 people, then $125.00 per person after that. Private events can accommodate up to 15 participants maximum.

Private events with under 8 people are still subject to the $1,000 minimum.

Participants under the age of 18 must be approved by Pottery Northwest, accompanied by an adult over the age of 18, and must submit a youth waiver prior to participation.

A $500 deposit is required to reserve a date. Final payment is due two weeks before your event date and can be made by credit card or check made out to Pottery Northwest. The deposit is non-refundable if your group cancels less than two weeks prior to the event date.

  • Private events generally run three hours in length and are scheduled between 10am to 9pm daily. If your group needs a time outside of these hours please notate that in your private event inquiry form.

Pottery Northwest runs daily classes and workshops in our studio. Private events can only be scheduled outside of class and workshop times. Our online calendar lists all of our class and workshop times.

Pottery Northwest does not reserve our entire studio for your event. Students also have studio access from 10am to 9pm every day to work outside of class times. Your group will get enough space for all of your attendees to work in one area, but our students will be using the studio space around your group while your event is taking place.

  • Pottery Northwest supplies all clay, tools, glazes, and firing.

An instructor who will lead your group

Each participant can choose one piece to have fired and glazed at the end of the event.

Our studio team will glaze and fire your pieces and notify you when they’re ready to be picked up, approximately 4-6 weeks after your event. Please note, Pottery Northwest cannot guarantee the success or results of the work. We are not liable for unsuccessful work, work that is damaged, broken, missing, or disposed of after posted dates.

  • A good attitude and a mind open to learning.

An apron, or comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.

Any snacks or beverages your group may want. Food is not permitted in the studio but can be stored and consumed in our studio kitchen in the next room. Approval from Pottery Northwest is needed if your group plans to bring alcohol to consume.

  • Please plan for everyone in your group to arrive at least 10 minutes before your event start time. We cannot lengthen event times to accommodate late arrivals.

Pottery Northwest is located in the bustling Pioneer Square neighborhood and parking can be hard to come by. Pottery Northwest does not offer parking. There is street parking, garages, and lots all within a few blocks of our facility. Plan ahead so that you have enough time to park. You don’t want to miss anything!

Private events do not grant you studio access outside of your event time.

Please submit your event inquiry as early as possible. Requests for dates within two weeks may not be possible for us to accommodate.
