Earth & Fire Affair is
the Hottest Ticket in Town!

SEATTLE — On Saturday, June 15, from 5-9:30pm, Pottery Northwest will be turning up the heat with a spectacular fundraising celebration benefiting the 58-year cultural arts organization. Taking place at Hideaway Cellars in Sodo, the event will be a fiery celebration of Pottery Northwest’s dynamic, creative, and diverse ceramic arts community. The Earth & Fire Affair will feature live music by the Jazzaholics, a silent auction, a live auction, an open bar, and more. Tickets are $150 and are available now at www.potterynorthwest.org/auction.

“We’re celebrating the people who make us amazing — our community members,” said Ed King, Executive Director of Pottery Northwest. “We’re an inclusive and welcoming community of passionate art makers who support each other at every level. This night is all about the amazing spirit each aspiring ceramicist brings to Pottery Northwest day after day.”

The emcee for the evening will be Sasha Summer Cousineau, owner of Revel Rouser Events. Sasha is a dynamic and engaging fundraising auctioneer, gala emcee, and wedding officiant who is passionate about social justice, racial equity, and feminism. Sasha is bringing her experience, talent, sparkle, and genuine care to the Earth & Fire Affair on June 15th.

Event attendees will enjoy music from the Jazzaholics, an open bar, and minge with arts patrons and luminaries from the Seattle community. Guests will have the chance to bid on beautiful artist-made art pieces and exciting travel and cultural experiences. Notable artists in this year’s auction include Patti Warashina, Sam Scott, Marita Dingus, George Rodriguez, Hanako O'Leary, Akiko Jackson, among many others.

“We’re excited to host the hottest event of the summer,” said Board President Ritika Kanade. “From live music and an open bar to an auction with unparalleled artwork, fun travel experiences, access to cultural institutions, and more… there is truly something for everyone.”

Individual tickets are $150, dual tickets are $275, and tables are available for $1,000. Those who wish to attend can access event information at www.potterynorthwest.org/auction.

King added, “this event is more than a celebration. The Earth & Fire Affair will bring in vital funds to our cultural non-profit that will support our BIPOC scholarships, youth outreach programs, Apprentice Program, and Pottery Northwest’s Visiting Artist Program. The generosity of our patrons will help to sustain our vibrant clay community.”
