Our Facility

We are located at 220 3rd Ave S, housed in the bottom level of the Foster/White Gallery. Our new studio in the Pioneer Square neighborhood is open to currently enrolled students and studio access members. We are open to the public for tours or meetings by appointment only between 11am to 5pm. Email info@potterynorthwest.org to schedule a visit. Learn more about our studio here.

We acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the traditional lands of the Duwamish and Coast Salish tribes. We also acknowledge that Seattle is covered by the Point Elliott Treaty and Cession 347.

Getting Here

Enter through the Foster/White gallery entrance on 3rd Ave S, come into the lobby and take the elevator downstairs to the basement level and ring the doorbell near the orange gate. The doorbell is not answered if it is after 5:30pm and/or if you do not have a scheduled appointment.

FAQ

How do I get to the studio?

Google Maps
Enter through the sliding doors at Foster/White Gallery on 3rd Ave S and take the elevator down to the lower level.

Where can I find parking?

Pottery Northwest does not offer parking. Pioneer Square is a bustling neighborhood, and parking can be hard to come by. There is street parking, garages, and lots all within a few blocks of our facility.

How are you related to Foster/White Gallery?

Pottery Northwest is an independent organization. We are friends and neighbors to Foster/White. Our studio operates out of the bottom level of the shared building.

What types of kilns do you have?

We currently have 9 electric kilns, ranging in size from 1 cubic foot to 20 cubic feet. We are currently looking for a satellite location to host our 5 gas kilns. If you have a lead, let us know!

How can I buy pottery from you?

We do not have a retail store, but we do host artist markets at the studio in both the summer and winter. We also currently have a partnership with Elm Coffee, located right across the street from the studio, where you can see and purchase pottery from a different Pottery Northwest community member each month.
